What Methods Will Your Dog Trainer Use To Train My Dog?
Go Dog Go! teaches dogs and their humans using humane, positive reinforcement based dog training methods. These include learning theory, as well as classical and operant conditioning.
We’ll never use old fashioned dog training methods designed to scare or intimidate your dog. The secret to our consistent success with dogs is taking into account every dog’s emotional state, amazing intelligence and ability to learn.
How Long is a Dog training Lesson?
Our first session is about 90 minutes, during which we’ll perform a detailed behaviour assessment and fill you in on the best way to improve your dog’s behavior with a goal-oriented plan that’s perfect for your situation
Subsequent dog training sessions are about 60 minutes.
How Long Will It Take Until I See Changes In My Dog’s Behavior?
This depends on many independent factors such as your dog and your willingness to stick to the custom training and management plan you’ll get.

What Areas Does Go Dog Go Dog Training Serve?
Go Dog Go! Dog Training is based in Black Creek but we’ll come to you anywhere on Northern Vancouver Island. That means our dog trainer will come to you anywhere between Comox and Port Hardy, including Campbell RIver. Here’s our service area:

Who Can Attend A Training Lesson?
All family members are encouraged to attend.
Can my friend and her dog attend training sessions?
Yes. Many private dog training students have a friend with a dog join in so they can split the cost of the lesson with a friend. Sharing a lesson is available for dog manners, recall training and puppy training programs,
What payment methods do you accept?
Go Dog Go! Dog Training accepts cash, Interac money transfers, and credit card payments. We sometimes accept cheques too.
Puppies
What’s the best age To Start puppy training?
Whether you mean to do it or not, you puppy starts learning from you as soon as you get him home. The best age for puppy training is when your puppy arrives in your home. So it’s really important to stop unwanted puppy behaviour and start training your puppy appropriate behaviour right away. This is where we can help you. We’ll help you give your puppy the best start from the beginning. That way, bad behaviour won’t take root and become habit.
The problem is that group puppy classes don’t start until puppies are 12 weeks old.
By then, puppies are already developing bad habits. We can start working with you and your puppy at home as soon as you adopt him.
We’ll teach you everything you need to know about stopping nipping and biting, potty training, no cry crate training and more.
